Israel-US Tensions Escalate Over Gaza Withdrawal Timeline

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, senior officials from the Israeli regime have indicated that relations with Washington could face severe strain if the U.S. administration persists in demanding an Israeli army withdrawal from the Gaza Strip before the disarmament of the Hamas movement. These statements were reported by Al Jazeera, citing Mehr News Agency data.

Speaking to Israel’s Channel 13, these officials stated that the regime will not accept any retreat from Gaza prior to Hamas’s disarmament. They emphasized that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is unwilling to agree to a withdrawal of forces from Gaza without this condition being met, particularly with elections on the horizon.

In parallel, Channel 13 reported on a message attributed to Hamas and mediators, addressed to Donald Trump. The message allegedly claims that the Israeli regime seeks to prolong the war in Gaza and that Netanyahu will initiate new military operations before the elections. The message urges the U.S. President to prevent such an action.

The same network also cited a mediator who claimed that Trump has become convinced that Netanyahu has emerged as a challenging factor in the Gaza issue.

Conversely, senior American officials informed Channel 13 that Donald Trump expects full cooperation from the Israeli regime in implementing the second phase of a roadmap agreement. According to these sources, the execution of this plan is set to commence in the coming weeks, with a national committee taking charge of governing Gaza.

These officials also alleged that Trump would be disappointed by Tel Aviv’s lack of cooperation but continues to view Israel as a partner. They further claimed that Iran has attempted to dissuade Hamas from accepting the agreement.
