Lebanese Army Commander Demands Israeli Withdrawal from Lebanese Territory

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rodolphe Hekel, the Commander of the Lebanese Army, during a visit to the southern regions of the country, stressed that the success of the Lebanese military institution lies in the solidarity among its units.
He added that every inch of Lebanese territory belongs to its people and that the occupying Israeli forces should not remain in any part of the country. Hekel stated that Lebanon derives its strength from its army and that the sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded will never be in vain. ‘We believe in one homeland and one army that defends it,’ he declared.
These remarks from the Lebanese Army Commander come amid ongoing attacks and incursions by the Israeli regime against Lebanon. Western-aligned officials in Beirut have reportedly not taken decisive action in response to these aggressions.
