UN Expresses Grave Concerns Over Lebanon Situation Amid Israeli Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Nations has expressed considerable apprehension about the ongoing situation in Lebanon, particularly in light of the significant explosions and destruction of homes carried out by the Israeli regime. These actions have raised substantial concerns about potential damage to infrastructure and cultural heritage in the region.

The UN underscored the imperative to contain these attacks and to actively pursue political avenues for resolving the disputes between the parties involved. This call for de-escalation comes as a powerful explosion shook the areas of Al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon on Friday morning.

Israeli authorities have acknowledged using approximately 700 tons of explosives to target areas in southern Lebanon, including Yahmar Al-Shaqif. This admission highlights the scale of the military operations. The report notes that the signing of a controversial agreement between the Western-oriented government in Beirut and the Israeli regime has unfortunately failed to deter the continuation of these Israeli assaults.
