Hamas Condemns Escalating Israeli Attacks on Gaza, Cites Disruption of Truce Efforts

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has vehemently condemned the ongoing ‘criminal, brutal, and insane bombardment’ by the Israeli regime against the Gaza Strip, asserting that the intensified attacks aim to derail ongoing truce negotiations mediated by parties including the United States.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas announced that the “criminal, brutal, and insane bombardment” by the Israeli regime against the Gaza Strip, which began this morning and has resulted in the martyrdom of over 18 Palestinian citizens and the complete erasure of families from civil records, represents a deliberate escalation. The movement stated that the war crimes cabinet led by Benjamin Netanyahu is pursuing this action with the aim of disrupting understandings reached with mediators, including the United States government, for the full implementation of a ceasefire agreement.

In a press statement, Hamas called upon mediators and guarantor parties to the ceasefire agreement to assume their responsibilities and condemn these Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people. The movement also urged for immediate action from mediators and guarantor parties to pressure the occupying regime’s cabinet to cease its crimes against the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the regime must be committed to stopping its aggressions in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

Hamas clarified that these brutal actions, which constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, necessitate formal and legal action by the international community to prosecute the leaders of the occupying regime and adopt measures that guarantee the protection of the defenseless Palestinian people, who continue to face the threat of genocide and forced displacement.
