Trump’s Popularity Declines Amid Growing Opposition to Iran Policy

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen network and Channel 12, based on a Reuters poll, reveals that Donald Trump‘s popularity has decreased from 37% last month to 35%.

While the poll did not specify the reasons for Trump’s declining popularity in the United States, it is believed that a major contributing factor is the increase in commodity prices, particularly fuel, resulting from his administration’s policies regarding Iran.

President Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, on Monday in an attempt to deflect bipartisan criticism ahead of the congressional elections, stating, “My real poll numbers are the best they have ever been and the Fake News Media makes up fake numbers.”

A poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos on July 31 also indicated that only one-third of Americans support the U.S.’s unauthorized aggression against Iran, the lowest level of support since the early days of the conflict.

This decline in support has transcended party lines. A Quinnipiac University poll showed that 60% of voters now oppose U.S. military action in Iran.

Among independent voters surveyed by Reuters/Ipsos, 67% were against the war, with only a quarter supporting it.

Furthermore, according to results from a new poll published by CNN, two-thirds of Americans (67%) believe that Donald Trump’s military decisions in the war against Iran have harmed the United States. The same poll found that only 21% stated that Trump’s military actions have benefited the country.
