Venezuela Earthquake Death Toll Rises to 6,125

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, official figures indicate that the death toll from two earthquakes that jolted Venezuela in June has now reached 6,125.
The seismic events also resulted in approximately 17,000 injuries, according to reports citing Sputnik news agency, which referenced data published by Mehr News Agency.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing in the affected regions, but thousands remain unaccounted for, and tens of thousands are living in temporary camps.
Jorge Rodríguez, the President of Venezuela’s National Assembly, previously announced via his X account that the number of fatalities was expected to continue rising as recovery efforts progressed, in relation to the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes.
