Russia Launches Widespread Missile Strikes on Ukraine’s Capital

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia targeted the capital of Ukraine with ballistic missiles on Wednesday morning, according to data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Jazeera. The missile attacks left at least two people dead and 12 others injured.

Kyiv officials announced that a rain of Russian missiles and drones hit the city’s buildings and several warehouses, causing extensive damage.

The Ukrainian Air Force also stated that missiles were fired at Kyiv, a city of approximately three million people, from at least two different routes.

The Mayor of Kyiv reported that a 20-story building caught fire following the attacks, likely due to a missile impact. Several warehouses in various parts of the city were also targeted.

This attack comes amid intensifying hostilities between Russia and Ukraine in recent weeks. According to an analysis by Agence France-Presse, Russia has increased its missile usage in attacks by more than double in July compared to previous periods.

Previous Russian attacks on Kyiv and its surrounding areas on Saturday resulted in 10 deaths and over 30 injuries.
