Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Vows Retaliation Amidst Escalated Tensions and Blockade

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Supreme Political Council of Yemen issued a statement emphasizing that the military movements and new alignments by Saudi Arabia will not disrupt the will of the Yemeni nation to achieve its rights and end injustice. The council congratulated the Yemeni armed forces on their recent extensive military operation against Saudi military positions, stating, “The equation of blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation has become a definitive and unchangeable strategy.” The statement further indicated that the Yemeni army and people will not hesitate in defending their sovereignty until their legitimate rights are achieved, and the opposing side must accept the consequences of its provocative actions. Hours earlier, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, had announced a widespread, preemptive missile and drone attack targeting the positions of the Saudi army and its mercenaries in eastern Yemen, inflicting heavy casualties and damage.
