Pakistan’s Defense Minister Calls for Islamic Unity Against Israel, Rejects Normalization

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif emphasized the necessity for the Islamic world to unite against a common threat, identified as the Zionist regime. This statement followed the recent signing of a mutual defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey in Mecca.

Asif proposed the formation of a broad alliance among Muslim nations, drawing a parallel to NATO’s structure. He asserted that member states must overcome bilateral disputes to establish a cohesive defense bloc. The minister stated that Israel’s actions necessitate a unified response from Islamic peoples and that normalizing relations with Israel would not serve the interests of Muslim nations. He reiterated that solidarity with Palestine remains a fundamental prerequisite for regional Islamic policy.

Addressing concerns regarding India, Asif alleged that elements supported by India are orchestrating terrorist activities against Pakistan from Afghanistan. He also pointed out that ongoing regional conflicts, including recent military encounters with India, require formal resolution rather than media discussion.

Furthermore, Asif highlighted the current regional tensions, including the conflict involving Iran, as a clear indication of the urgent need for collective Islamic diplomacy.
