Hezbollah Vows Retaliation for Israeli Attacks on Southern Lebanon
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hezbollah Lebanon announced that the Lebanese awoke to an intensified assault and brutal massacre by the criminal Zionist enemy against innocent civilians in the south. A house in the suburb of Ansar town and a building in Deir Zahran were targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of eleven people, including children and women, and wounding twelve others. This act is added to the enemy’s long history of genocide, committing atrocities, spilling Lebanese blood, bombing homes, destroying farms, and obliterating villages.
The statement indicated that this Israeli escalation, targeting civilians, and expanding the scope of affected areas demonstrate the intention and will of the criminal enemy’s Prime Minister, Netanyahu, to intensify the war to strengthen his internal political standing, serve electoral goals, and appease the far-right.
Hezbollah stated that the responsibility for this aggression and continuous violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty lies with the enemy government and the United States, which provides support and cover. Lebanese officials are urged to explore all available avenues to stop this aggression and not insist on a humiliating direct negotiation process and offering free concessions to the enemy, despite all the enemy’s crimes and aggressions and the blatant declaration of this regime’s aggressive and expansionist intentions towards Lebanon.
Hezbollah emphasized that it is time for officials to conduct a comprehensive review of their stance to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty and rights, rather than continuing policies that have proven their inability to protect Lebanon and its people. They must adopt a patriotic, brave, and responsible position, cease pursuing negotiations that the Americans are leading them into, and understand that relying on American guarantees and mediation is a failed plan.
The statement also asserted that the Americans are complicit with the Israeli enemy in its crimes and massacres against Lebanon. The audacious, impudent, and blackmailing stance of the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, who demanded the surrender of the resistance’s weapons while the Israeli enemy should be pressured to withdraw from its occupied territories in Lebanon, confirms that what America seeks is in line with the Israeli enemy’s interests and the security of this regime, and against the sovereignty of Lebanon and its people.
Hezbollah stressed that all Lebanese, across all their spectrums, must realize the danger of the approach this government is taking regarding Lebanon, its unity, security, and independence.
The statement concluded by warning the Israeli enemy that its attacks, aggressions, and attempts to create fait accompli situations cannot continue and will be met with an appropriate response in defense of Lebanon, its people, its sovereignty, and its national dignity.
