Lebanese Parliament Speaker Warns of Israeli Aggression in Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament has cautioned against the sinister objectives and intentions of the Israeli regime in southern Lebanon. He highlighted the grave dangers posed by the regime’s actions, particularly the intense assaults on cities, villages, and residential areas, alongside widespread explosions in southern villages.
In his latest statement on the unfolding events in Lebanon, Nabih Berri underscored the paramount importance of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) presence in the south and their pivotal role in safeguarding security. He also stressed their support for the Lebanese army’s deployment along the country’s entire territory up to the international borders, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament asserted that terminating UNIFIL’s mission would constitute a grave error and a crime against southern Lebanon, effectively nullifying Resolution 1701.
Berri’s remarks come amid ongoing Israeli aggression and ceasefire violations in southern Lebanon. Several areas and towns were targeted by aerial and artillery shelling from the occupying army in the early hours of the morning.
