Russia Thwarts Large-Scale Ukrainian Drone Assault, Strikes Military Infrastructure

Russia’s air defense systems intercepted 457 Ukrainian drones overnight while launching significant strikes against military and logistical targets within Ukraine, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s air defense systems successfully thwarted a large-scale drone attack by Ukraine overnight, intercepting 457 unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territories. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces also conducted extensive strikes against Ukrainian military and logistical infrastructure.

The ministry reported that Russian forces utilized precision-guided weapons in broad operations targeting transportation infrastructure and a logistics center in and around Kyiv. These operations, carried out overnight using Russian missiles and drones, specifically targeted the Darnytsia station, a critical railway hub in southwestern Ukraine. Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that this route was being used for the transfer of Ukrainian military weapons and equipment.

In Kyiv, a logistical center in Brovary, used for storing drone equipment, was also targeted. Additionally, Russian fighter jets struck depots containing military equipment and fuel belonging to the Ukrainian army in the ports of Chornomorsk and Yuzhny, located in Odesa in southern Ukraine.
