Rosatom Confirms 42 Russian Staff at Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, Declares Calm Situation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev stated on Saturday that the situation at Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is currently calm. Data released by the Mehr News Agency, quoting Sputnik News Agency, indicated that Likhachev made this announcement in a statement.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the second stage of the 23rd Congress of the ‘United Russia’ party in Moscow, Likhachev reported, “Overall, the situation is calm. In recent months, there have been no worrying incidents related to the plant itself, its surrounding area, or our two residential complexes.”
Alexey Likhachev further elaborated on the continued return of Russian specialists to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, confirming that 42 Rosatom employees are presently stationed there. He also reiterated that all Rosatom’s proposals regarding Iran’s enriched uranium remain on the table, and the company is prepared to play a role in resolving related issues.
Likhachev concluded by stating that there are currently no negotiations with the Iranian side concerning the country’s enriched uranium.
