US Central Command Claims Disruption of 70 Commercial Vessels in Maritime Operations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CENTCOM, the United States’ Central Command, issued a statement today claiming it has redirected 70 commercial vessels as part of what it termed a “maritime blockade” initiative. The announcement was reportedly carried by Al Jazeera and cited by Mehr News Agency.
The U.S. military entity further alleged that the guided-missile destroyer USS John Finn is currently patrolling the Arabian Sea and enforcing a maritime blockade against Iran. CENTCOM stated that as of August 23rd, U.S. forces have diverted 70 commercial ships, disabled three vessels, and boarded two others to ensure compliance with regulations.
This latest assertion by the U.S. military follows previous similar claims made by the command.
