Syrian Foreign Minister and Mossad Chief Discuss US-Mediated Operation Room in Jordan

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shaibani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria, and Roman Gafman, the head of Mossad, engaged in discussions in Jordan today regarding the creation of a “special operations room” under American supervision. This initiative, as reported by Agence France-Presse citing two Syrian diplomatic and governmental sources and published by the Mehr News Agency, is intended to avert any potential confrontations between Israel and Syria, or between Israel and Turkey, on Syrian soil.
This meeting occurred just days after an Israeli strike targeted an airbase in northwestern Syria. The discussions come amid heightened tensions between Syria and Israel, following the recent Israeli raid on the “Abu al-Duhur” airbase in northwestern Syria.
