Israel Bars EU Parliament Members from West Bank Entry

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israel‘s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has instructed Israeli officials to deny entry to two European Parliament members from Sweden into the West Bank. The directive, reported by Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, indicates that the two lawmakers intended to visit the Palestinian Authority.
Minister Sa’ar stated that the reason for the ban is the two representatives’ consistent criticism of the Israeli regime in past years and their calls for legal action against Tel Aviv. The parliamentarians have accused Israel of committing genocide and targeting relief workers and children.
This action marks not the first instance where Israel has obstructed the presence of representatives, officials from other countries, or even United Nations personnel in the occupied Palestinian territories.
