China Responds to US Economic Rhetoric Against Iran

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated it is monitoring U.S. threats of sanctions against Iran and will take necessary measures to protect its interests, while asserting that sanctions and pressure will not resolve issues in West Asia.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that it is closely observing U.S. threats regarding the imposition of sanctions against Iran. The ministry emphasized that China will undertake all necessary actions to safeguard its rights and interests. This statement follows recent U.S. calls for countries, including Beijing, to join efforts aimed at isolating Iran’s economy. Lin Jian, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressing reporters on remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that sanctions and pressure will not contribute to resolving the issue. He further urged all relevant parties to act responsibly and settle problems exclusively through political and diplomatic channels.
