Erdogan and Da Silva Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional and Global Issues in Phone Call

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva engaged in a telephone discussion regarding the ongoing developments in bilateral relations between Turkey and Brazil, as well as regional and global transformations. The conversation was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing Mehr News Agency.

According to a statement from the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, President Erdogan conveyed his satisfaction with the sustained progress in the relationship between the two countries, which was formalized twenty years prior.

Erdogan emphasized that enhanced cooperation across all sectors, with a particular focus on investment, trade, and the defense industry, would prove mutually beneficial for both nations.

The Turkish President suggested the implementation of an economic cooperation model designed to boost the prosperity of citizens in both countries amidst prevailing protectionist trends.

Furthermore, Erdogan highlighted that the peace-oriented policies pursued by Turkey and Brazil on both regional and international matters contribute positively to global peace.
