Kremlin Declares Russia-Europe Ties at Cold War Levels, Warns on Persian Gulf Instability

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has criticized the state of relations between Russia and Europe, asserting that these ties have reached rock bottom and that the current situation is reminiscent of the Cold War era. He also issued a warning regarding instability in the Persian Gulf and the possibility of a dangerous escalation of tensions.

Peskov stated on Saturday that Europe has effectively ceased its relations with Russia, a situation he believes is not beneficial for European countries or the continent as a whole. He explained that the reduction in relations and the abandonment of diplomatic channels have led to increased instability and confrontation, pushing Russia and Europe back to conditions akin to the Cold War.

The Kremlin spokesperson also addressed developments in the Persian Gulf, indicating that Moscow is concerned about the situation in the region and that existing instability could pave the way for a serious escalation of tensions. He emphasized that the current conditions in the Persian Gulf remain volatile, with a palpable risk of conflict intensification.
