According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia and China have vetoed a resolution put forth by the United States at the United Nations Security Council concerning the extension of Iran sanctions. The resolution aimed to prolong the mandate of the Iran sanctions committee.

The UN Security Council convened a session today, Thursday, to discuss “Experts on Security Council Resolution 1929” with a focus on “non-proliferation” as it relates to Iran’s nuclear program.
