Trump Frustrated by Political and Legal Setbacks, Wall Street Journal Reports
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Wall Street Journal has reported on increasing discontent from President Donald Trump regarding his administration’s political landscape. The newspaper stated that the U.S. President feels his political allies are not defending his performance adequately in the face of recent criticisms and failures.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump is increasingly dissatisfied and disillusioned by his political and legal setbacks, believing that very few of his allies are openly defending his performance during his second presidential term.
He also expressed disappointment that influential figures have not acknowledged his efforts to rebuild and restructure the Kennedy Center.
This dissatisfaction reportedly intensified after negative televised coverage of his administration’s performance was shown to him. Hours later, Trump banned MS NOW, CNN, and the news outlet Politico from entering the White House.
The Wall Street Journal’s report examines this behavior within the context of more challenging political conditions for the Trump administration, where the U.S. President is seeking to highlight his administration’s achievements and garner greater political support from Republicans and his allies.
The report added that Trump is also facing declining approval ratings, concerns about Republican performance in the midterm elections, and voter dissatisfaction over the conflict with Iran and rising energy prices.
His administration is also striving to find foreign policy achievements ahead of the November midterm elections to present as successes of his government.
