Hamas Denounces Escalating Gaza Genocide, Cites Daily Killings

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hazem Qassem, a spokesperson for Hamas, stated that the continued daily slaughter of women and children in the Gaza Strip by the occupying army, as witnessed recently, signifies an intensification of a genocidal war. This conflict, he noted, has not ceased despite the signing of a ceasefire agreement in Sharm El Sheikh approximately one year ago.

Qassem criticized the silence of the Peace Council and its affiliated bodies, deeming their inability to explicitly identify the party attempting to undermine the ceasefire agreement – namely, the occupying army – as unacceptable and unsustainable. He asserted that efforts by the Peace Council, led by Nikolay Mladenov and an American mediator, to justify the occupying army’s atrocities and consider the entity’s future elections when addressing repeated violations by the regime will only serve to cover up the continuation of these crimes and weaken the ceasefire agreement.

The Hamas spokesperson urged Arab and Islamic countries participating in what is referred to as the Peace Council to adopt a clear and practical stance regarding the crimes and aggressions perpetrated by the occupying army, which continue under the council’s inability to halt them. He particularly emphasized that the Palestinian side has demonstrably adhered to the ceasefire agreement.
