Macron: Lebanon’s Sovereignty Must Be Respected Amid Southern Escalation
French President Emmanuel Macron has emphasized the imperative to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and the rights of its people, particularly in light of escalating developments in the country’s south. He also reaffirmed France’s belief in Palestinian sovereignty.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Lebanon’s sovereignty and the rights of its people must be respected, commenting on the unfolding events in southern Lebanon. Macron noted that villages inhabited by Lebanese refugees in the south are being destroyed. The French President added that only a fully sovereign Lebanon can restore security for all Lebanese citizens. In a related statement, he addressed the Palestinian issue, asserting France’s belief in Palestinian sovereignty and highlighting the repeated violation of their most fundamental rights.
