Authenticity and Modernity Parties Lead Morocco’s Parliamentary Elections

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, preliminary results from Morocco’s parliamentary elections show the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) leading with 97 seats. The National Rally of Independents (RNI) secured 66 seats, followed by the Independence Party (PI) with 65 seats, placing them in second and third positions respectively.

The Justice and Development Party (PJD) garnered 54 seats, ranking it fourth. Other parties that have secured seats include the Popular Movement with 29 seats, the Socialist Union of People’s Forces with 26 seats, the Progressive and Socialist Party with 19 seats, and the Constitutional Union with 17 seats.

The Social Democratic Movement and the Left Alliance each obtained eight seats. The Front of Democratic Forces and the Justice Party each won two seats, while the New Democrats Party and the Union and Democracy Party secured one seat each.

The national voter turnout for the parliamentary elections was reported at 38.02 percent.
