Pakistan Committed to De-escalating Regional Tensions, Says Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif stated that the country is making increasing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region. “We are determined to make every effort to reduce tensions in the region,” Sharif said. He added that some friendly and brotherly countries are moving towards achieving an understanding that will establish peace in the region. This comes as Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in New York on the previous day. The office of the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international developments. The Pakistani Foreign Minister underscored the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and continuous engagement to strengthen regional peace and stability.
