Putin, Vucic Discuss Ukraine Conflict, Bilateral Ties in Phone Call
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held a phone discussion on Saturday concerning current international agenda items, notably the conflict in Ukraine. The Kremlin announced this development, citing reports from Al Jazeera via the Mehr News Agency.
During their conversation, the leaders of Russia and Serbia emphasized the unacceptability of foreign interference in electoral processes. President Putin and President Vucic also conferred on various aspects of developing Russia-Serbia relations, with particular attention paid to cooperation in the energy and transportation sectors.
In their statement, the Kremlin further noted that President Vucic informed President Putin of his resignation from the Serbian presidency, expressing gratitude for Russia’s assistance in combating wildfires in Serbia.
