Thousands Protest Against Netanyahu Across Occupied Territories
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, ten thousand Zionists demonstrated in several cities across the occupied territories last night to protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his policies, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Israeli media.
Protesters gathered in the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv, particularly in Habima Square in central Tel Aviv, chanting slogans for a change in the cabinet and demanding accountability for political and security failures.
Several movements and associations, including the “Quality of Governance” movement, “October Council,” “Defense Shield for Israel Association,” “Paratroopers for Democracy,” and “Patriots 555,” along with an association of protest organizations, participated in organizing the rally in Habima Square.
During the demonstrations, Major General (Res.) Guy Tzur stated that the current period is witnessing efforts to influence voter inclinations ahead of elections.
The website of the “Yedioth Ahronoth” newspaper quoted him as saying, “These days, there’s a small segment that needs a simple nudge to perhaps change the scene; any effort to steer Israel in the right direction is valuable.”
Other areas, including Nahariya, Kabri, Tzemah, Nahalal, Amiad Junction, and the Elyakim Bridge over Highway 6, also witnessed similar protests.
These protests are taking place concurrently with the approaching election dates and amidst intensified public activities against Netanyahu. Protest organizers are striving to attract more participants, exert pressure on the cabinet regarding political and security issues, and place the topic of “accountability” at the forefront of the public agenda.
