Hamas Warns of Escalating Israeli Raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has issued a warning concerning the escalation of Israeli raids, the performance of Talmudic ceremonies, and repressive measures by the Israeli regime in occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially in the last two days. Hamas emphasized that these actions cannot alter the Arab-Islamic identity of Jerusalem.
Hamas stated that Jerusalem will remain the possession of its people, and regardless of how much the Israeli regime increases its repression and crimes, it will not be able to change the city’s identity.
The movement underscored that the transformation of Jerusalem into a military garrison, the intensification of pressure against the city’s residents and its holy sites, and the provision of security support and cover for settlers’ incursions and their Talmudic ceremonies all point to the ongoing, persistent aggression against the identity of Jerusalem and its holy places.
Hamas specifically referenced actions taken at the “Gates of the Chain” (Bab al-Qataneen) and the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting these occurred concurrently with the incursions of Itamar Ben-Gvir, the Israeli regime’s Minister of Internal Security, Knesset member Amit Halevi, and several other officials and settlers.
The movement cautioned against the intensification of suppression operations, Judaization efforts, and attempts to impose new realities by force. It highlighted the settlers’ attempts to bring “plant sacrifices” into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas reiterated that these aggressions grant no rights to the Israeli regime or its settlers within Al-Aqsa Mosque, and that attempts to alter the mosque’s Islamic identity will be futile.
The movement urged Palestinians residing in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the occupied territories of 1948 to continue their presence and vigilance at Al-Aqsa Mosque, to move towards the mosque, and to stand against the Judaization plans, the settlers’ actions, and their aggressions against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas asserted that the will of the Palestinian people is stronger than the Israeli regime’s suppression machine and arrogant behavior, and that the Palestinian people will continue to defend Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The movement also called upon Arab and Islamic nations and countries to take immediate, serious, and responsible action in response to the escalating aggressions and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.
Hamas concluded by emphasizing the necessity of exerting pressure to halt these aggressions and protect the holy sites, calling for practical measures to confront the ongoing Judaization process and continuous aggressions against Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
