Russia’s FSB Denounces UK Efforts Against National Security as Doomed to Fail

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Federal Security Service (FSB) issued a statement asserting that London is attempting to create the illusion among the international public that an alternative power center is emerging within Russian émigré communities, poised to replace the current government in Moscow.

The FSB emphasized that London’s endeavors to utilize its affiliated organizations to harm Russia’s security are destined to fail. Russia will persist in neutralizing terrorist activities orchestrated by London, employing Russian expatriates.

Relations between Russia and the United Kingdom have significantly deteriorated in recent years, particularly since the commencement of the conflict in Ukraine in 2022. London has been a principal supporter of Kyiv, imposing extensive sanctions against Russia and providing substantial military and security assistance to Ukraine. In 2026, new sanctions were introduced targeting Russia’s military and oil sectors, as well as its so-called ‘shadow fleet’.

Moscow has accused London of direct involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. In September 2026, in protest against the continued supply of British weaponry to Kyiv, the British Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
