UK Diesel Prices Hit Record High Amidst Global Fuel Cost Surge

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Mehr News Agency, citing TASS, indicates that the average price of diesel fuel in the UK has reached an all-time record of £1.9918 ($2.65) per liter. This surpasses the previous record set in June 2022 at £1.9909.

Refueling a typical family car with a 55-liter tank now costs approximately £110, a £31 increase compared to the cost before the conflict involving Iran began. Simon Williams, the Public Policy Manager at RAC, warned that the rise in diesel prices not only increases costs for drivers but also inflates the prices of goods and services reliant on diesel-powered trucks and vans, with these expenses ultimately passed on to consumers.

Gasoline prices have also reached new records since late February, climbing to £1.74 ($2.31) per liter. Filling a car’s tank now averages £95.8, an increase of £22.8 compared to the period before the commencement of hostilities against Iran by the United States and the Zionist regime.
