Three Police Officers Killed in Northwest Pakistan Ambush

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Pakistani Ministry of Interior announced that armed individuals ambushed traffic police officers on Monday in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing at least three officers. During the ensuing gunfire, two passersby were also wounded and subsequently transported to a hospital. As of now, no group has come forward to claim responsibility for this attack.

The province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, situated on the border with Afghanistan, has experienced a rise in militant attacks in recent months. Data from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies indicates that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 54 terrorist attacks last month, representing a 50 percent increase compared to July.
