Five Detainees Released on Bail in UK’s ‘Forford’ Incident Investigation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, five individuals have been released on bail by British counter-terrorism police in connection with the “Forford” incident, a development that does not signify the end of the ongoing investigation.

A statement from the counter-terrorism unit indicated that those released remain under scrutiny as authorities explore the possibility that the incident near the “Forford” base may have been orchestrated by proxy agents acting on behalf of foreign governments.

In response to the security event near “Forford” base, the British Prime Minister has called for an emergency cabinet meeting.

Previously, the UK Defence Secretary, when questioned about any potential link between Iran and the detention of five individuals near the Royal Air Force base at Forford, stated that it was “highly speculative” to ponder the motives of these individuals.

Counter-terrorism forces have assumed responsibility for the investigation into a security incident that occurred at the Royal Air Force base at Forford. Five individuals were apprehended on suspicion of preparing to carry out a “terrorist” act, but no charges have been filed against them to date.

Forford base is situated approximately 160 kilometers west of London and is one of several UK bases utilized by the United States Air Force under an agreement dating back to the 1950s. The base’s long runway makes it suitable for heavy bomber operations. This base has seen use in conflicts including the Persian Gulf War, the 2003 Iraq War, and the recent US and Zionist regime aggression against Iran.
