Pakistan Declares Military Assets Available to Saudi Arabia Amid Yemen Conflict

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Minister of Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, emphasized during a visit to Rome that the country’s military might, in accordance with a defense pact signed with Saudi Arabia and Turkey, is available to Riyadh. In response to inquiries regarding Pakistan’s potential involvement in airstrikes against Yemen, Asif stated, “I will not go into specifics, but it is clear that when I say we are committed to this defense structure from Saudi Arabia, it means that any asset we possess is also available to Saudi Arabia. I believe I have answered definitively.” The Pakistani Defense Minister further noted that the Houthi forces in Yemen have intensified their missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia and have expanded their controlled areas along the Red Sea coast. This comes as Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced that the total number of Saudi offensive attacks, including airstrikes and missile launches, has reached 1,158 since the escalation of hostilities began. Saudi Arabia has primarily targeted residential areas and infrastructure in Yemen during these attacks.
