Oil Tanker Damaged by Projectile in Strait of Hormuz, Fire Contained

A commercial oil tanker sustained damage and a subsequent fire after being struck by an unknown projectile while exiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a commercial oil tanker suffered damage and a resulting fire after being hit by an unidentified projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported on Friday that the incident led to a partial fire and a power outage aboard the vessel as it was departing the strategic waterway. The UKMTO further stated that the fire has since been extinguished and confirmed that there were no reported casualties or significant damage to the ship.
