Hamas Official Asserts Resistance Unwavering Amidst Israeli Assassination Threats

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a senior official from Hamas has declared that assassination threats issued by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant against Khalil al-Hayya, head of the political bureau for the movement, will not push them away from the path of resistance. Basim Naim, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, responded to the threats by stating that Hamas takes them seriously but views them as part of the electoral propaganda of the far-right in the occupied territories.

Naim emphasized that the threat of martyrdom does not weaken the resolve of the resistance forces. “Are you threatening us with what we pray for day and night? Martyrdom? Your efforts will fail; we will continue on our path until victory and liberation,” he stated.

The Israeli Defense Minister had publicly threatened to assassinate the head of Hamas. Yoav Gallant, while explicitly threatening Khalil al-Hayya, claimed, “We have assassinated senior Hamas members in Gaza, and this time it is inevitably Khalil al-Hayya’s turn to join Haniyeh and his friends.”
