Netanyahu’s reaction to the news of the sanctioning of a battalion of the Zionist army by the United States

According to Al Jazeera Qatar network, Bezalel Smotrich, the hard-line finance minister of Netanyahu’s cabinet, also responded to this possible action by Washington and added: The US sanctions against the Israeli army are absolute madness.

He added: This action by Washington is also an attempt to dominate the Palestinian government over us.

Axios news site Saturday night quoted three American officials who did not reveal their names, saying: Washington will soon sanction the “Netza Yehuda” battalion affiliated with the Zionist regime army due to human rights violations in the West Bank. This is the first time. America is sanctioning an Israeli military unit and soon the sanction of this (extremist) battalion will be announced by the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Sanctions prevent this battalion and its members from receiving any kind of aid or military training.

The Netza Yehuda Battalion was formed in 1999 as a special unit for ultra-orthodox Jewish soldiers. This battalion located in the West Bank “has become a center of attraction for many young extreme right-wing settlers” who have not been accepted in any other battalion of the Israeli regime’s army.

In the past years, many pictures of the crimes committed by Netza Yehuda battalion soldiers against Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank have been published. Members of this battalion, who thought no one saw them, severely assaulted and insulted some civilian Palestinian citizens; Unaware that a number of other Palestinians are observing and recording this brutality of the Israeli army.
