According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Hasan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s special representative for Afghanistan, met with “JP Singh”, the regional director general of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and discussed the special role of Chabahar port in the development of economic relations with Afghanistan.
Kazemi Qomi tweeted: In this meeting, the two sides also emphasized the formation of a regional contact group to advance political and economic issues with the aim of creating stability and construction in this country.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy prime minister of the Taliban government recently visited Chabahar port during a trip to Iran and called for facilitating the access of Afghan businessmen to this ocean port.
Chabahar Port is considered the closest route to open waters for Central Asian countries and Afghanistan.
Chabahar Port compared to Abbas Port and Karachi Port The arrangement of 90 km and 700 km is closer to the center of Afghanistan and provides the opportunity for Afghan traders to export their goods to the target markets sooner.
