The Jordanian House of Representatives was dissolved
King Abdullah II, the King of Jordan today (Thursday) by issuing an urgent decree, dissolved the House of Representatives of this country.
According to the report of National News, the dissolution of the House of Representatives is done as a ceremonial measure before the holding of the parliamentary elections of this country on September 10th (20th of Shahrivar) and it is done because the members of the parliament abuse their power and privileges in the next elections. Don’t do it.
Jordan’s House of Representatives together with the Senate of this country constitutes the Jordanian legislature. The Senate consists of 65 members and according to the Jordanian constitution, they are appointed by the king by royal decree.
The members of the current Jordanian House of Representatives were elected in November 2020. According to official statistics, participation in the last elections of the Jordanian parliament was 36% and in 2016 this figure was 36%.
