Algeria’s request to hold a Security Council meeting on Palestine
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Nahar, Algeria demanded an emergency meeting of the Security Council to review the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
This request was made in the shadow of the escalation of attacks and crimes of the Zionist regime and in order to investigate the latest developments in the West Bank and Gaza.
In this meeting, the intensification of the occupiers’ movements in the West Bank and the genocide that is taking place by the Zionist regime in Gaza will be discussed.
Slovenia will chair this meeting as the rotating president of the Security Council.
On the other hand, Fayez Abu Attiyah, the ambassador of the self-governing organization in Algeria, said: “Algeria has exposed the crimes of the occupiers in Gaza with its positions in support of Palestine.” The presence of Algeria as a non-permanent member of the Security Council is very important and supports the Palestinian nation against the crimes of the Zionist regime.
