Russia adn Ukraine Exchange 205 Prisoners of war Each, According to Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that Moscow and Kyiv exchanged 205 prisoners of war each.
as reported by Mehr News Agency,citing Sputnik,the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the prisoner swap with Ukraine.In a statement, the ministry stated: “Following negotiations between Moscow and kyiv, 205 captured Russian soldiers were returned from territory controlled by the Ukrainian regime.”
The ministry added: “Additionally, 205 Ukrainian prisoners of war held in Russia were handed over to Kyiv’s armed forces.”
This comes as the Russian Defense Ministry had previously noted in its statements that earlier prisoner exchanges between Kyiv and Moscow were facilitated through humanitarian mediation by the United Arab Emirates.
