New Details Emerge on Blazing Negotiations with Zionists
According to webangah News Agency, Zionist media reported on Monday new details about ongoing indirect talks between the Israeli regime and Mohammed al-Julani (ahmad al-Shara), Syria’s current ruler and former leader of the terrorist group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham. The reports indicate meaningful progress in these negotiations over recent weeks.
The Zionist outlet ynet, citing senior Israeli officials, stated that Julani has demanded an agreement requiring the complete withdrawal of Zionist occupiers from the Golan Heights.
These sources clarified that current US-mediated talks primarily focus on security issues rather than a comprehensive agreement.
Ynet referenced earlier reports in Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, which quoted Syrian authorities emphasizing that ongoing negotiations involve Arab and international mediators.Julani reportedly seeks an end to Israeli infiltration and attacks into Syria while advocating for a return to the 1974 disengagement agreement. Meanwhile, Israel aims to establish a new buffer zone.
Even though reaching a final agreement currently appears unlikely, sources suggest transitional security arrangements coudl form a basis for future deals similar to the “Abraham Accords.” Syrian leaders are reportedly counting on Arab mediation and Washington’s pressure on Israel.
The Israeli news site i24NEWS claimed a normalization deal between Israel and Julani-led Syria could be signed before year’s end.
