Death Sentence Issued for Killers of Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr
According too webangah News Agency, citing Al-Sumaria, Iraq’s National Security Agency announced on Monday that the country’s criminal court has issued death sentences for those responsible for the execution of Ayatollah muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his sister Bint al-Huda.
The agency’s media center stated that the competent criminal court sentenced two convicts-identified as Sa’dun Sabri and Haytham Abdulaziz-after proving their involvement in the 1980 killings. The victims included innocent civilians as well as members of the Islamic Dawa Party during the former regime.
