Death Sentence Issued for Killers of Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr

Iraq’s National Security Agency announces death sentences for two perpetrators involved ⁢in the 1980 martyrdom of ‌ayatollah ‌Sayyid muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his ⁢sister Bint al-Huda.

According too ‍webangah News Agency, citing Al-Sumaria, Iraq’s National Security Agency ‍announced ​on Monday that the country’s criminal court has issued death sentences for those responsible for the execution of Ayatollah muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his sister Bint al-Huda.

The agency’s media center stated that the competent criminal ‍court‍ sentenced two convicts-identified as Sa’dun Sabri ‌ and ​ Haytham Abdulaziz-after proving their involvement in the 1980 killings. The victims included ⁢innocent civilians as well as members of the Islamic Dawa ⁣Party during the former regime.
