Axios: Trump Meets with Saudi Defense Minister

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, the ⁤Axios news⁢ outlet reported that U.S.‌ President Donald Trump met with Saudi Defense ‍Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman at the white House on Thursday to discuss IranS regional role and other Middle Eastern issues.

A confidential source confirmed the ​meeting took ⁢place⁢ but requested anonymity. Axios claims Saudi Arabia seeks to de-escalate regional tensions following the 12-day⁢ conflict ⁣between Israel and Iran.

The talks preceded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled Monday meeting with Trump at the White House.⁣ The Trump administration aims to broker a historic peace agreement ⁤between ‍Saudi Arabia and Israel in ​coming months.
