Saudi “Sleeping Prince” Dies After More Than Two Decades in Coma

The Saudi prince known as​ the “Sleeping Prince” due too over‌ 20 ⁤years in a coma has finally lost all connection with the world ‍and passed away on Saturday.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency,⁤ Saudi media reported that Prince alwaleed bin Khalid bin Talal Al Saud‍ died on Saturday, July 19, after enduring a prolonged coma. He passed away in⁤ a specialized medical center in Saudi Arabia.

His father, Prince Khalid bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, announced his son’s death on his personal social media account on X (formerly Twitter).

Born in April 1990, Alwaleed was one of the distinguished⁢ students at the Saudi‌ Military College. In 2005, he suffered severe brain‍ injury during⁤ a car⁤ accident and fell into a coma. As than,⁢ he had been under continuous​ medical care.

For ⁣more than two decades, Prince Alwaleed’s story⁢ drew significant attention from people across​ Saudi Arabia and the Arab world. throughout these years, his​ father kept hope alive by sharing photos and videos documenting his son’s treatment progress.
