Shifa Clinic Director Urges Palestinians to Avoid “Death Traps
The director of Shifa Clinic urged Palestinians not too approach “death traps” despite hunger.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, Mohamed Abu Salmiya, director of Shifa Clinic in Gaza, warned starving Palestinians in the Strip not to head toward deadly ambushes-referring to aid distribution centers-even amid severe famine and hunger.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs also issued a warning that residents of Gaza face catastrophic famine.
The UN agency reported that children in Gaza suffer from extreme weakness, with some dying before food reaches them.
Abu Salmiya further stressed that hospitals in Gaza have reached full capacity and can no longer admit additional wounded patients.
