Anwar Ibrahim: Sanctions Must Be Imposed on Israel
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News agency, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim spoke on Monday at an emergency meeting of OIC leaders supporting Qatar against the recent assault by Israeli forces on Doha. He strongly condemned the attacks as a brutal violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.
Anwar Ibrahim said, “We condemn the attacks on Doha in the strongest terms. This assault is savage, a breach of international law, and an unjustifiable provocation.Gaza is being destroyed before our eyes, and the Palestinian people are suffering unprecedented devastation.”
The Prime Minister added, “We must have the courage to take concrete action against these ongoing attacks. Condemnation alone will neither stop missile strikes nor liberate Palestine; instead, sanctions must be imposed on Israel. Impunity reflects disregard for international law, and our people are tired of mere words. As Israeli aggression intensifies, we issue repeated condemnations.Diplomatic and trade relations with Israel must be suspended.”
