Sanctions Imposed on 29 Companies in China, UAE, and Turkey for Ties to Iran

The US Department ‌of Commerce announced sanctions on 29 companies based ⁤in China, the UAE, adn Turkey‌ over ⁢alleged ties to Iran.

The US Department of Commerce has added 16 Chinese companies to its export control and licensing sanctions ​list.According to webangah News⁣ Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Shafaq News, the‌ department claims these companies facilitated ⁣the ⁢purchase ‍of equipment used in ‌manufacturing drones deployed by Iran’s‍ allies, including in​ Yemen.

In total, 29 companies‍ headquartered in China, Turkey, and⁢ the United Arab Emirates were sanctioned for similar ⁤reasons.

These firms have⁣ been placed on a‌ list identifying entities whose activities are ‍considered​ contrary to US ⁢national security interests.
