Israeli Regime Violates Gaza Ceasefire
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, just hours after the Gaza ceasefire officially took effect following Israeli cabinet approval, reports emerged of violations by the Israeli occupation forces who carried out several attacks across various parts of Gaza.
Al Jazeera correspondent reported that early Friday morning, Israeli warplanes together targeted areas in northern Khan Yunis in southern Gaza with airstrikes. At the same time, artillery units also shelled positions in the same area.
A short time later, al Jazeera’s reporter confirmed continued attacks east of Gaza City. Along with aerial bombardment and artillery fire, Israeli military helicopters carried out gunfire operations in eastern neighborhoods.
Israeli naval vessels fired toward Gaza’s western coast along Al-Rashid Street near the Netsarim junction in central Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Civil Defense urged residents not to return to areas occupied by Israeli forces until an official withdrawal takes place.
The Israeli army radio announced that soldiers would soon move back to a designated agreed “yellow zone” within Gaza as part of a phased withdrawal.
