Some Israeli Knesset Members Boycott Trump’s Speech
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Quds News Agency, Israel’s Channel 12 announced that Avi Maoz, Knesset member and head of the Tenu’a party, declared he would not attend US President Donald Trump’s speech in the Knesset.
Maoz explained his decision by stating: “you must be completely blind to believe that Trump’s ceasefire plan will succeed.”
Meanwhile, Limor Son Har, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset from Otzma Yehudit party, also announced her boycott of President Trump’s speech.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she said: “Trump presented the current agreement as a peace deal. It is not a peace deal; it is a shameful agreement.”
The Israeli parliamentarian added that Israel’s security took a severe blow with this agreement.
Son Har emphasized: “We are currently witnessing Hamas reorganizing in Gaza. They are preparing to retake control of the Gaza Strip as soon as our forces withdraw.”
A few hours ago, US President Donald Trump arrived at Ben gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. In addition to attending celebrations marking the end of the Gaza conflict and prisoner exchanges,he is scheduled to deliver a speech before Israel’s parliament.
