50,000 Flee Al-Fashir as Sudanese Forces Shoot Down 2 Drones Over Al-Bayda + Video

The Sudanese army announced it had shot down two strategic drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces over the skies of Al-Obeid city in North Kordofan province, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.
Mustasim Ahmed Saleh, Sudan’s Minister of Social Progress, stated that 50,000 people have fled from al-fashir to Aldabba town in Northern State.
the fall of Al-Fashir marks one of the bloodiest and most consequential chapters in Sudan’s 18-month conflict.
Following a brutal siege that trapped hundreds of thousands of civilians amid starvation, bombardment, and blockade, the rapid Support Forces led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo-known as Hamidati-seized control of the last major army base in Darfur. This event may permanently alter Sudan’s map and solidify an effective division within the country.
Al-Fashir was the last urban center under control of the Sudanese army in Darfur. Its defense served as a critical strategic barrier against RSF advances.
Promptly after RSF seized Al-Fashir, the United Nations warned that risks were escalating for widespread ethnically motivated violations and crimes within the city every day.
This development represents a disturbing turning point in the war between forces commanded by Army Chief General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo. The conflict has so far killed at least 150,000 civilians and displaced more than 11 million people across Sudan.
